Radio station;
As it is a local issue, we will obviously aim it at a local station. Lincs fm target audiences aged 25-45, we imagine these ages as those most likely to visit the park, whether a family day or out, or a young couple. Although bbc radio Lincolnshire offer an audience stereotypically more open to a package about history of the park, as their target age is 50+ this is not why we are making these documentaries, we are making them to inspire people to restore the park to its former glory.
.Date; June 2014 – we spoke to John Pye part of the Boultham park advisory group and he said that this project not only needs ideas, it needs to be put in to action, people need to go out there and make it happen.They plan to finish in 2015, so if we play it out in summer 2014 whilst the weather is nice, people would be reminded about the park, or maybe even hear about It for the first time, and visit it. We’d hope that once they are reminded about how nice this park is, and how nice it can be, they may try and get involved, and bring together the community, which is a big part of heat this restoration is about.
Time: We would prefer it to be played out around 3:20. Doing a small amount of research, we have found that the majority of schools end their day at around 3:15. The park itself would look to attract family visits rather than, for example: dog walkers, which are already common to the park. Parents are also more likely to be enthusiastic about the restoration, as they would have seen the park in its once glorious image. And also they will want to leave behind somewhere for their children’s family to enjoy.
